Weeks 3 and 4 found us having to vacate the General Purpose lab due to state mandated testing. A laptop cart was located and we are in our classroom. The students are excited to be in The Vortex and I am glad to be able to settle into my new space. I still have kinks to work out but that is to be expected.
Each day a little more work gets done. Measurements for the new network drops took place. Then cables got ran. When they disabled the internet for my building, many expected a room full of desktop computers the next day. But there is a lot more work to be done. A new electrical circuit must be run to handle the load that will be needed in my class. Hopefully that will get done this next week. Then perhaps we will have our computers.
The power point animations were amazing. Now we are working on academic games. My computer applications classes are working on columns and section breaks next week. That ought to be interesting as well. I am excited about the path we are walking together.
