How I Bought My Chromebook

I recently bought an HP Chromebook 14. I spent a lot to time researching the different models. I wanted something easy enough to carry around, yet powerful enough to deliver stunning presentations while on the road.  I went back and forth over the decision between a Chromebook and a windows laptop.

I put the call out to several of my Voxer groups. Which teachers had access to Chromebooks? What did you think? Was it powerful enough for you? What drawbacks did you experience? Two awesome educators volunteered to share their experiences with me. They made extra effort to make sure they were available when I needed them. Shout outs go to AJ Bianco (@AJBianco) and Justin Birckbicher (@Mr_B_Teacher).

They both patiently answered my questions. I looked at every piece of data they provided. They were knowledgeable and willing to help me make up my mind. Even as I stood in the electronics store, looking back and forth between two different brands, they were willing to provide support. I thought it was very cool that as I stood there with the person in the blue shirt, I could vox AJ and Justin to get even more last minute advice.

I am grateful for their support. In the end, I am very happy with the decision I made. I can’t wait to find out just how far I can push this device.

The model I bought was the 14-x013dx. I couldn’t be happier.
