For the last couple of years, I haven’t made resolutions for the New Year. Instead, I’ve joined the growing trend to find a word to describe what I want to see in the upcoming year. In 2014, my word was acceleration. Last year, my word was connection.
2015 was definitely a year of connections for me. I did get to meet many of my online friends face to face in conferences around this great country. I am very excited to meet even more in the future.
I’m going to get right to it. This year’s word for me is: Purpose.
I want to make sure that I am not floating through this year. I want to live each moment with a purpose. That doesn’t mean that I won’t find time to relax. On the contrary, I intend to do my share of relaxing but I want to do it purposeful. I want my down time to be rejuvenating for my spirit and my body.
I want to find my busy times full of purpose of actions. I want to step with purpose through each encounter and dive deeper into the connections I’ve been blessed to make. I want to know that when I lay my head down to sleep, my day was filled with purpose. I want know that I made a difference. That my time was not wasted.
Purpose.
