You teach where? I don’t care.

I am connected to a large network of educators. They teach in a variety of locations around the world. I learn from them on a daily basis. I teach in a public school. There are some in the educational world that would have me separate myself from those educators from private, independent or (gasp!) charter schools and don’t mention parents that home school.

I really don’t care where you teach. It doesn’t matter to me. The really important part is that we can learn from each other. We all have our students at heart. We all want what’s best for those that sit in our classrooms each day.

Be proud of your school. Yes, I might be jealous of your school’s budget. I may be envious of the parent support you seem to get every time you turn around. That’s all about me and my issues, not you or your students. Please keep sharing the amazing things you are doing. When I brag about something my students have done, support them. It means the world to all of us.

Let’s teach separately together.
